This Tuesday, March 15, the tradition of the “Thirteen Tuesdays of Saint Anthony” begins, which allows the faithful to prepare spiritually for 13 weeks for the feast of the great Saint Anthony of Padua to be celebrated on June 13.

The Franciscans who administer the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua (Italy), explain on their website that this year “the route ’13 Tuesdays’ this year is dedicated to the miracles of Saint Anthony. It is a beautiful path of prayer, to prepare together for the feast of June 13. They will be moments to reflect, understand and pray”.

The themes of the 13 Tuesdays of Saint Anthony, which are explained in the guide in Italian entitled “The miracles of Saint Anthony”, are the following:

March 15: “The miracles of San Antonio”. Led by Fr. Giancarlo Zamengo.

March 22: “The first sermon.” Led by Fr. Andrea Vaona.

March 29: “The preaching to the fishes”. Led by Fr. Alessandro Ratti.

April 5: “The foot reattached”. In charge of Fr. Fabio Turrisendo.

April 12: “The vision of the Child Jesus.” Led by Fr. Antonio Bertazzo.

April 19: “The violent husband.” Led by Fr. Andrea Massarin.

April 26: “The drowned child.” Led by Fr. Giancarlo Paris.

May 3: “Meeting with Ezzelino da Romano”. Led by Fr. Mario Conte.

May 10: “Antonio converts the bandits.” Led by Fr. Danilo Salezze.

May 17: “The glass intact.” Led by Fr. Paolo Floretta.

May 31: “The boys announce the death of the saint.” Led by Fr. Gilberto Depeder.

The Franciscans explain that every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. (local time) it will be possible to follow the Holy Mass and the “Tredicina” prayer live – as they call the prayer every Tuesday – from the Basilica of San Antonio. Accessible HERE.
