They encourage to live a week of prayer and fasting so that “Europe rediscovers God”

The Mater Fatima international movement encouraged a week of prayer and fasting “so that Europe rediscovers God and returns to its Catholic roots.”

The call aims that from April 4 to 10, Catholics around the world unite in a special week of prayer.

These days of fasting and prayer, indicated Mater Fátima in a statement sent to ACI Prensa, will be “in reparation for our sins and those of the entire world, especially those of Europe.”

In addition, they will ask God “that the Holy Spirit enlighten consciences so that the just sense of sin is recovered, the need for conversion, prayer and reparation is recognized; and that the signs of these times be identified.”

Among other intentions, prayer and fasting will be offered “so that life, marriage and the family are respected as God created them, and the purity of children and young people is protected.”

Among the prayers proposed for this day are the Holy Rosary, the Angelus, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Way of the Cross, and the Sites of Jericho.

“They can be prayed individually, at a time that is convenient for each person or join the transmissions that Mater Fatima offers through its different channels,” the movement said.
