Help your children with this prayer addressed to their guardian angel

The strong bond of love between a mother and her son forges an inexplicable connection, to the point of ‘intuiting’ when they are in need or in danger.

When the distance separates them, you can resort to a prayer to ask for their protection. This was expressed by Pope Francis on August 27, the day of Santa Monica.

“Dear moms: like Santa Monica, never be discouraged; pray tirelessly for your children,” she wrote on her twitter account.

Likewise, the Church invites mothers to ask those who can protect them: the guardian angel.

“From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by his custody and his intercession. ‘No one can deny that each faithful has at his side an angel as protector and shepherd to lead his life’ (Saint Basil the Great). From this earth, Christian life participates, through faith, in the blessed society of angels and men, united in God”, states the Catechism of the Catholic Church in number 336.

Prayer of a mother to the guardian angels of her children

I humbly greet you,
faithful heavenly friends of my children!

I thank you with all my heart
for all the love and kindness you show them.

Someday in the future I will
with a most worthy thanks
of what can now be given,
before the entire heavenly court
acknowledging my debt
to your guide and protector.

Keep watching over them.
Provide all your needs of body and soul.
Pray, in the same way, for me,
for my husband and my whole family,
to make it all day
a rejoicing in your blessed company.

Amen.
