There is less than a month left until the arrival of ‘Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness’ in theaters on May 6. The new Marvel Studios tape went right past ‘The Batman’, managing to sell more advance tickets than the DC superhero, promising to become one of the biggest blockbusters in recent years.
A week after Marvel opened the season and put tickets on sale, the comparisons continue, this time with films from the company itself. And it is that the sequel to ‘Doctor Strange (Doctor Strange)’ sold 30,000 tickets in the first 24 hours, thus surpassing the numbers made by ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’ (49,000) and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (80,000) in that time period.

After a week with open pre-sale, Sam Raimi’s film has a total of 46,000 tickets sold, thus exceeding the 32,000 achieved by ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in the same period.
That the box office for each new Marvel movie is surpassed installment after installment is no surprise. At the rate it’s going, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is expected to far exceed the figures achieved by its predecessor, almost 700 million. Even with a lot of secrecy, there is little left for the premiere, dated for May 6.
