A moving song for Saint Joseph with a prayer from Pope Francis

The Magdala Center team, established in the land of Saint Mary Magdalene (Israel), made a beautiful and moving song dedicated to Saint Joseph, based on the prayer with which Pope Francis ends his apostolic letter Patris corde.

The prayer was musically adapted by Luis Meseguer Mira and is sung by Cristina Messanet. The song was originally presented on March 10, 2021, as part of the celebration of the Year of Saint Joseph, convened by Pope Francis.

In the prayer, the Holy Father encourages to ask Saint Joseph: “Show yourself a father also to us and guide us on the path of life. Grant us grace, mercy and courage, and defend us from all evil.”

Juan Solana, director of the Magdala Center, which is leading a virtual pilgrimage through the Holy Land these days, encouraged us to “make this song and this prayer as the Pope teaches us and thus we ask for the whole Church and for all the world”.
