It is based on the famous Texas singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. Selena was very influential in her time, even today she rests in the hearts of several fans. She has inspired many people during her singing years. Her powerful vocals changed the tex-mex music forever.
Renewal Status of Selena: The Series Season 1
There isn’t any official release date for Selena: The Series. The Series will release in two parts with six one-hour-long episodes. And Part one is expected to premiere somewhere around the end of 2020.
Netflix released a teaser of the show, and it hasn’t failed our expectations. In the teaser, Selena is applying her signature red lipstick and wearing her iconic purple jumpsuit. A lot of people are waiting to see the singer on the screen and remember her through the scenes.
Cast and What to Expect from Selena: The Series Season 1
Netflix has announced an official cast list, and it looks perfect. Christian Serratos will be reprising the lead role of Selena. Madison Taylor Baezad Young Selena, Ricardo Chavira as Selena’s father, (Abraham Quintanilla Jr), Seidy Lopez as Selena’s mother (Marcella Quintanilla), Jesse Posey as Selena’s husband, (Chris Perez) and Noemi Gonzalez as Selena’s sister and best friend, (Suzette Quintanilla) are part of the Series.
The Quintanilla family has been preserving the memories of the late singer since her sudden demise. And we hope this Series gives her a perfect tribute for such an illustrious carrier. Netflix even confirmed without the help of her family. This show wasn’t possible.
