Cast and What to Expect from Ratched
Based on Ken Casey’s novel Ratched, Netflix is reviving the classic character Nurse Ratched for the 2020 version. Nurse Ratched is cold and emotionless, proud of herself as a depressed and emotionally wrecked minded ward head nurse, and aims to find out what this is the story behind it. Since 1947, we have traced Ratched’s development from a nurse to a complete monster and a journey through the mental health system.
This is where conditions get better than it ever was. Dr. Sarah Paulson, American horror story nurse Mildred Richard, Cynthia Nixon as Gwendolyn Briggs, Judy Davis as nurse Betsy Bucket, Sharon Stone is Lenore Osgood, Jon Jon Briones stars as Dr. Richard Hanover and Finn Wittrock will play Edmund Tolleson. Corey Stoll, Sophie Okonedo, and Vincent D’Onofrio round out the cast.
Synopsis of Ratched
The story is set 20 years before the events of the book and classic film starring Jack Nicholson but is likely to cover more than one season. Sarah Paulson told a Hollywood reporter, “I do not have this big hair. With the big picture of Louis Fletcher (referring to actress’s hair in the 1975 film). We know who this woman is and how she is.” All fans stay tuned!
