On 7th May, 2017 Money Heist premiered on Netflix. The series has broken several records and currently is the most viewed non-English series on Netflix. Even season 4 got a staggering views of 65 millions. The previous season ended on a cliffhanger as Gandia kills Nairobi. And Professor exposes the unlawful torture on Rio and illegal holding of Lisbon. Later, Lisbon joins the team and on the other hand Sierra finds Professor’s hideout.
Renewal Status of Money Heist Season 5
Earlier, it was said the last season of Money Heist would release in August, 2020. But the coronavirus outbreak had sadly stopped the production so this year release is nearly impossible. Though, the shooting has began from August. But Netflix has confirmed that the season 5 of Money Heist will release somewhere in 2021. They have also confirmed that this season will be last.

Cast and What to Expect from Money Heist Season 5
There isn’t any official cast announcement from Netflix. But the main cast is expected to return for the renewal. Sadly, Nairobi died in the last season which means we might not see her again. Although, the makers use flashbacks to link the main story line. Álvaro Morte, Úrsula Corberó, Itziar Ituño, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Darko Peric, Enrique Arce will surely reprise their roles. We have also seen football star, Neymar Jr. in the previous season. A number of new casts are expected to join in. We can only hope Money Heist returns with a bang and answer all the questions.
Synopsis of Money Heist Season 5
Money Heist is a Spanish heist drama series created by Álex Pina. The show follows a mysterious man ‘The Professor’ and his dream to pull out the biggest heist ever. He gathers a team and successfully loots the Royal Mint of Spain. Then, the next season he plans to loot the Royal Bank of Spain. The main story goes about the things happening inside and outside the head of The Professor.
