Cardi B Gets Herself A Defamation Lawsuit Due to Racist Remarks After A Beach Fight

Cardi B defamed a group of Long Island beachgoers. She called them “racist MAGA supporters” and posted an edited video. The video showed scenes of a fight between them, her sister, and her sister’s partner.

Cardi’s sister, Hennessy Carolina, and her girlfriend, model Michelle Diaz, got into an altercation with the group on September 6. It all happened at Smith Point Beach, as per Fox News. One of the men that they were arguing with was wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap.

What Did Cardi Say About The Event?

In social media posts following the argument, Cardi wrote that Diaz and Carolina were harassed the place where they parked their car. “It was all because they are an Afro/Hispanic gay couple.”

However, in the suit, which also names Diaz and Carolina as defendants, the beachgoers claimed that it was these two women who harassed them. Furthermore, they went on to defame them by posting edited video and commentary about the heated argument on social media.

What Did The Spectators Have To Say?

“These peaceful Suffolk County people were calmly enjoying a Sunday at the Smith Point beach with their families. It was then the rap celebrity Hennessy Carolina suddenly approached them. She was spitting, raging, insulting, defaming, assaulting, and threatening them. Moreover, she was videotaping them because one of them wore a MAGA hat,” the plaintiffs’ lawyer, John Ray, told the media.

“Then Cardi B, Hennessy, and celebrity model Michelle Diaz deviously edited the videotape. They then published the edited version all over social media. They wanted all the world to see, and cunningly and falsely labeled these poor residents and their families as ‘N…s’ and as racists,” Ray said.

Hennessy, in an audio recording talking about the fight, alleged that the two men told her and her girlfriend to “go to their f**king country.”

The men targeted and harassed them, Hennessy said. It was because they “saw us parking here, we were speaking Spanish, gay, and we’re mixed,” according to the recording. The recording was also shared on Twitter by Cardi B.

The lawyer for the Bronx-born rapper hasn’t yet commented anything and is maintaining strict silence.
