Netflix series Peaky Blinders is set in London in 1919 after the First World War. The story is about the Shelby family whose men are back from the war. As per the norms, the head of the family is the eldest man, which is Arthur in the Shelby family. But the real brains behind all of this is Tommy Shelby. Tommy is ambitious and cunning, and he wants to expand his name beyond Birmingham. He creates a different gang named Peaky Blinders. 

There are five seasons in the series, and the sixth one is on its way. Until then, we have some mind-blowing facts for your binge.

  1. Steven Knight creates the story, and he got the inspiration from his father. He also claims that his family was members of the Peaky Blinders gang. At that time, they were called Sheldon. 
  2. Billy Kimber and Darby Sabini are people in real life. Kimber died at the age of 63 of natural causes, and Darby was his rival. 
  3. Helen McCrory was able to ace the Birmingham accent because she learned it from Ozzy Osbourne’s videos.
