1- The show was almost named La casa de Carte which means House of Cards. But it was changed to La casa de Papel or house of paper. To avoid any confusion with the already existing show of Netflix House of cards.
2- In the initial season, Tokyo’s appearances were based on Natalie Portman’s character from the 90’s movie Leone, the professional.
3- The show is famous alright, but have you noticed the Brazilian Monk in the third season?, well Yes it was the football megastar Neymar Jr.
4- The Professor has a secret name. Yes, you heard it right. The Professor’s secret word is Vatican City.
5- The script is written parallel to the show’s production. To give more flexibility of the writers and can make modifications as such.
6- Berlin was terminally ill during the first heist. But do you know the entire gang was supposed to be sick? And due to the flexibility in writing that didn’t come to be true.
7- The shows use of Salvador Dali mask was no coincidence it was done to pay a tribute of the great artist and his style of art.
8- The name Tokyo came from the T-Shirt that creator Alex Pina wore the day they were writing about her character. Quite Artistic that is.
9- The heist of the Spanish Royal Mint was not shot in the Mint but the Spanish National Research Council’s building.
10- The show was almost cancelled after it’s first two seasons, with declining rating on the Spanish network.
