Messiah 2 Official Poster
Sneak Peak into the Past
Netflix series Messiah dropped on New Years this year. And it took a very unique approach towards the storyline. The series is about a person named Al-Masih who claims to be the second Jesus Christ. He says that Jesus Christ is walking the earth for the second time, in his human form. In the first season, we see that Al-Masih is trying to convince people of his supernatural powers. By the end of it, the audience didn’t get a clear picture of what the true nature of Al-Masih is. He survived a terrible plane crash which could have been the death of any normal human being. He has also shown some resurrection abilities. With scenes like these, it is clear that he is not just any other human. But is he Jesus Christ? Is he going to save the world?

Hello all you devoted @netflixmessiah fans. It’s with a heavy heart to announce that we won’t be able to return for a second season. I have so much gratitude to everyone who tuned in, supported and whose global perspectives were broadened from watching our show. To have worked with such a dedicated, talented, kind cast and crew, to have traveled to some of the most beautiful and sacred places in the world and to have met people near and far, was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to our creator Michael Petroni, @netflix and to the rest of our Messiah team. Sending love and health to all corners of the world and to those affected at this time. ❤️🙏🌏 – @michellemonaghan – Dear Messiah Fans, I didn’t think things could get anymore nonsensical, but we received the sad news from Netflix earlier today that, although a whole new badass batch of Season 2 scripts were delivered and ready to go, we will not be continuing with S2. Working on the show, then receiving tons of love and support from you all was humbling and pure joy. I wish things were different. I wish I can say that Season 2 will begin filming when things get back to normal because I can’t think of a better premise than Messiah to speak truth to the unimaginable global occurrences we are enduring right now. So…I’ll tightly hold on to the fond memories of S1 and the all the heartfelt messages I received from all of you around the world. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Stay safe and strong out there. Much love, always John (“Rev Felix”) 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 – @johnortiz718 – It’s a very sad day today. I have just received news from Netflix that there will be no season 2 of #messiah I wanted to say to all the fans thank you for your support and love. We loved our Netflix home. I wish things were different. – @wiltraval
For the lovers of the series Messiah, please grab your tissues already. As per the official reports, Messiah season 2 stands cancelled. There are multiple reasons as to why the show was cancelled. But the major reason is that it didn’t receive enough audience. Besides, there were some controversies regarding the show as well. Many pointed out the use of the name “Al-Masih”. While some were unhappy that the shoot took place on Jerusalem Mount Temple which is considered sacred. If the series gets picked by some other streaming company, then we may get a second season. But as of now Messiah season 2 is off the screens.
Cast and What to Expect from Messiah Season 2
If there ever comes a second season for Messiah, we can expect the original cast to be back. It includes Al-Masih, Eva Geller, Aviram Dahan and many more. We see that the first season of Messiah posed a lot of questions. A lot of things are unclear from the ending. We didn’t get a clear ending. So the second season could have explored more into who exactly Al-Masih is, if not a human. We might also see how the world and the CIA investigating the cases, take it.
Synopsis of the Messiah Season 2
The series is about a man who suddenly rises to fame after showing non-human abilities. Some believe that he is the second version of Jesus Christ. But some believe that he is just a conman. Amidst all of this, a CIA agent Eva Geller got into the case and starts to investigate the case.
