The only web show that blends dark and tragedy along with a cup of comedy, it’s none other than Dead To Me. The show debuted on Netflix in May 2019 and went on to be one of the most popular shows with two female leads. The second season released this May, and it was a success again! With an average episode of around 30 minutes, the show has gained quite a fame, and the star leads Christina Applegate (Jen Harding), and Linda Cardellini (Judy Hate) still are so thankful to the fans for the love and support.
The Second Season Has Out Eyes Widened
As the intensity and the ‘darkness’ in the second show took a high jump and increased, it got us all more excited and thrilled.
Starting from the adventures around the murder of the Mafia lawyer, Steve Wood to his twin, Ben trying to uncover all the mystery behind the murder.
James Marsden did a fantastic role with the twin part, and he played both the characters with so much of ease and comfort that it got us thinking whether he had a twin brother on the sets or no? Even the stars couldn’t believe he was going to be another Woods. Christina didn’t believe Liz first and thought the latter was ‘punking’ her!
The Ladies Got All The Talking
Recently in a candid interview, the star leads, Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, got quite candid about their lives and the show and about the dark-comedy it is.
We quizzed about how the two balance the blend of the dark with comedy, Applegate was quick to respond that comedy comes out of the tragedy. She further elaborated that the comedy comes out of lives, awkward moments, and memories. We know, right? Linda quoted the same and agreed with Applegate. She felt Judy brings in the comedy with her awkwardness with life and her miseries, and that’s one of the strongest holds of the show, and she enjoys playing the character.
Dead To Me follows the story of two women linked with a hit-and-run case. Jen’s husband gets killed in the husband, and the cynical widow tries to uncover the veil over the crime while Judy is a struggling driver and healthcare worker and fighting her miseries. The two bond over their miseries, and that brings out all the fun and thrill part!
