Lisa Kudrow Said F.R.I.E.N.D.S In 2020 Would Be Different
In a recent interview, the 56-year-old actress said that the series is no longer as progressive as it used to be at one point. The show ran for ten years from 1994 to 2004. She said if F.R.I.E.N.D.S were to happen in the current situation, i.e., 2020, it would have been “completely different.”
She said that it would not have an all-white cast. And the sitcom would look more like a time capsule. She added back then the show was ahead of its time. It was progressive in the sense that a man is raising a child with his lesbian ex-wife and her lover. The sitcom also had surrogacy.
She said it might not be as progressive now as it was back in the days.
