Reinhart has been very open about her mental health over the last few years. She once even told that her almost five months of living in Los Angeles. That during that time, her mental health reached an all-time low, which had forced her to return to her home, which is at Cleveland, OH. At home, she even received professional help.
After which she eventually returned to Los Angeles and landed her role in Riverdale. After that, she started sharing her journey. Lili has helped many people in overcoming their struggles. She has helped people to fight with anxiety and depression.
She said that she at first refused to seek treatment because of the stigma associated with mental illness. So, just like any other human would feel she was scared that she would be judged and isolated from society.
For taking antidepressants and for seeking therapy. She also declared that she knew getting help will mean that she had acknowledged her struggles publicly. Reinhart feared that she would be bullied and would have a few education and employment opportunities.

Reinhart is also an outspoken advocate for body positivity. Lili has publicly shut down many body shamers countless times. She even once called out on Cosmopolitan Philippines for photoshopping her waistlines. She posted the original photo and the edited photo to make it clear how much of her waist has been digitally edited.
