FIFO Worker Denied Passage To UK, For His Wife’s Delivery, Due To Coronavirus
International travel bans have been implemented globally, and they might stand for quite a long time. In exclusive news, a FIFO worker has repeatedly been denied passage to the UK, even after his relentless pursuit.
According to sources, the man is named Paul Walker, has lived in Australia for eight years and is halfway through to getting his permanent residential license. However, Walker needs to urgently get back to the UK for his wife’s delivery. Walker has two other kids who have no one to look after them while their mother is in labour. Read the details here.
Walker Says His Human Rights Are Being Violated
Walker, 33, is to welcome his third baby, a boy, soon enough, with his partner Anna Smith. The embassy had asked Walker to send inappropriate evidence of his crisis, and if considered as an emergency, he might be allowed to fly to the UK.
However, according to Walker, despite sending in several medical and Ultrasound reports, his requests have been repeatedly denied. The officials have given him reasons such as the reports being too “blurry” or “unintelligible”. Now, Walker is worried that time is running out and he won’t make it back to his wife in time for the delivery.
Walker even said that he doesnt intend to return to Australia anytime soon and will follow lockdown instructions imposed by either country, for whatever period.
