In the upcoming new Southern crime drama, Arkansas, Vivica A. Fox, and Liam Hemsworth reunite. And the actress couldn’t help but be all praises for how much the Australian star has grown and evolved in recent years.
ET’s Kevin Frazier recently spoke with Fox about her role in the indie mob caper from a star and first-time director, Clark Duke. And Fox opened up about working alongside Hemsworth four years after they first shared the screen.
Here’s what she said
Fox claims that she was so thrilled when she got cast. She says she was fortunate that she did not have to audition. Fox got a call from her agent, and she said, ‘There is this great new film called Arkansas, and it has got Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn.’ And that’s all she had to say as far as Fox was concerned.
Fox praised the film’s “excellent cast” and further said that she had an “amazing time working with Liam” after they first appeared in 2016’s Independence Day: Resurgence.
On Liam Hemsworth
Fox said that it was good to see him again. And work with him still. She was adding that every time she sees him, he just becomes more of a grown man. Further adding, she said that when they did Independence Day, he kind of had that young heartthrob thing—still hanging on from The Hunger Games. But in Arkansas, Liam Hemsworth is dark, mysterious, and dangerous.
As per Fox, one of the best parts of working alongside Hemsworth is how he never came to set with a big ego and was a “very giving” scene partner.
Their Upcoming Film
In Arkansas, Fox plays a crime-connected associate of a local drug kingpin named Frog. Who is played by Vaughn, who left the actress “a little starstruck” when she first met him.
Arkansas was initially supposed to premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival in March. However, the festival was canceled due to the growing coronavirus outbreak. Arkansas also stars John Malkovich, Michael Kenneth Williams and, Brad William Henke. It is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and, digital streaming services.
