The Hollywood Industry Suffers Immensely As Marvel Reportedly Delays Filming Of Upcoming Movies Due To Global Crisis
The Coronavirus crisis has had some seriously unsettling consequences on the world. Countries are in lockdown and their citizens in quarantine. The businesses have been shut down, and productions have put on halt.
Hollywood and theaters have been gravely affected by the attack of the virus, resulting in an absolute standstill of all film and series productions. Marvel and Disney have had to cancel or deter almost all of their upcoming films for an indefinite period since we are still unsure how long this crisis is going to last.
Recently, Jason Blum revealed he thinks that all of Marvel’s Phase 4 movies have been postponed and will not begin filming before 2021. Marvel’s Phase 4 Movies To Begin Filming in 2021, Deterring Release By Another Year
According to Jason Blum,
“I do think smaller productions will start sooner, but I don’t think we’re going to see Marvel movies shooting, or big expensive movies, until 2021. The real answer to your question is that it’s all about when testing will be in this country as good it is in other places, which it isn’t yet.”
Disney has had to push back several upcoming films that completely remodel their timeline. Their Marvel films, to have been delayed and supposedly will not begin filming before 2021. To start with, ‘Black Widow’ was pushed back to November 6th. ‘Eternals’ has been rescheduled for a February 2021 release.
‘Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ has been re-slated for a May 7th release. ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’ too has been pushed back for November 2021. We are as disheartened as you are folks, but keep your hopes high!
