Peaky Blinders season 6’s Cillian Murphy and director, Anthony Byrne, recently shared an update on the new series. I was following the recent production shutdown due to coronavirus pandemic.
The crime drama show was one of the multiple shows across the globe to stop filming in the wake of the lockdown. The BBC and production company Tiger Aspect citing advice from “the Foreign Office, World Health Organization and Public Health England.”
Meanwhile, fans wondering how the production pause had impacted filming, finally got some answers during an official Peaky Blinders Q&A session with fans on Instagram on Wednesday, April 22.

It was recently confirmed that the production should have been on day 23 of a 78-day shoot in Manchester. Furthermore, there were plans to construct a new Garrison Lane for the pub this season.
Meanwhile, in a message from star Cillian Murphy read aloud during the chat, the actor said that he is sending love and fortitude to Peaky fans everywhere. Further adding that they’ll be back as soon as they can, he promised, causing chaos and knocking heads as usual.
Cillian further added that he wants to send a special thank you to their widely talented crew. For all their hard work and their talent. And for their forbearance and patience during this time.
Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne revealed that although the team is hopeful of getting back to work as soon as possible, they have no exact dates because the global situation is so fluid right now.
Byrne comforted the fans saying that rest assured as soon as they can get back out filming, they certainly will.
Meanwhile, it was announced earlier in the day that the long-awaited video game Peaky Blinders. Mastermind will release this summer on PS4, Xbox, PC and, Nintendo Switch.
