Grace And Frankie Final Season Will Feature Sixteen Episodes Making It The Longest Running Season
Although there is no official release date, Grace And Frankie have been renewed for a seventh season, and it will feature sixteen episodes altogether. Making it the longest-running season in the history of the series. The next season will be the last season of the series, and its expected to end on a jovial tone for Grace and Frankie.
The reason behind Netflix deeming season 7 as the last is still unclear. On September 4th, 2019, the word was Grace, And Frankie has been renewed ahead of its January 2020 release. That’s when Netflix decided that season 7 will be the finale for the show. We are guessing it’s because the show’s long term streaming and showrunners wishing to conclude the show finally. Grace And Frankie have had its share of the limelight, and since shows that run too long get axed, it was deemed the right thing to do by Netflix.
Grace And Frankie Season 7 What To Expect: Plot, Cast And Release Date
Created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, the American comedy series features Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as Grace And Frankie, respectively. The plot is based on Grace and Frankie’s longstanding rivalry. However, their conflicted relationship falls apart when they learn that both their husbands have fallen in love with each other and want to get married. Now, Grace and Frankie only have each other to rely on.
The show has been renewed for a seventh season; however, the release date is yet to be disclosed. We are expecting season 7 to air sometime in 2021. The production of the episodes had begun in Los Angeles this year itself; however, due to the unprecedented Coronavirus outbreak, the show had to pause its shooting, like several other Netflix series.
The plot of the seventh season, as we assume from the season 6 finale, Robert and Sol will probably want to stay in their beach house too as their own home has been flooded. This will be a disruption in Grace and Frankie’s life together. However, we expect more solidarity from the two women as they struggle to maintain the business that they started together and after the rift in their friendship stemming from Graces’ marriage to Nick.
