Everything was going fine at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and suddenly all kinds of new and intense drama was introduced in the mid-credits sequence. The mid-credit scenes showed a video of J. Jonah Jameson was broadcasted in the middle of New York, revealing the secret identity of spider man. The cliffhanger left all of us imagining the villain or villains that Spider-Man has to face in the still-untitled Spider-Man 3.
As of now, we don’t have a lot of information about the next Spider-Man movie, but if nothing else, he will face some of his more formidable, iconic foes. The hero has a long history battling different villains so that we can predict potential villains for his next flick. Here is a list of 5 more obscure villains on the big screen now that Tom Holland might have to face in the next MCU adventure.
Venom is the most obvious choice, so let’s get it off our way first. In 2018, Sony kicked started its Marvel-based cinematic universe with Venom. The movie had Tom Hardy starring as Eddie Brock who wanted the symbiote attached to him to use its power for good.
But in the comics, the symbiote is an excellent antagonist and hates Spider-Man, because he is the only person ever to resist a symbiote’s allure. Venom and our hero Spiderman have already reached an agreement, but it would be awesome to see them go head to head before reaching such a truce in the movies.
Kraven The Hunter
Kraven is at the top almost every fan’s wish list for the villain in the next Spider-Man movie, including the director Jon Watts himself. He is a big-time hunter who loves to kill his most challenging prey yet: Spider-Man. Of all, he wants to hunt Spider-man and mount his head on the wall, hanging above his mantle.
It will be great to see when the two come face to face in the movies.
Some of the fans of Spider-Man movies expected Chameleon to appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but that was not the case.
Chameleon is the master of disguise who uses method acting and masks to become someone else. There are endless opportunities for Chameleon to use his sneak power in the next movie.
Carnage is already going to show up in the Venom sequel, so it will not be a surprise if he appears as the villain in the next spidey movie.
Venom is such a prominent character and is an integral part of Venom lore; he is not expected to die in Venom2. Venom 2 can set him up for a multi-movie storyline, if Venom and Spider-Man fail to defeat Carnage alone then they two might team up and will go for the kill.
Wilson Fisk has already appeared in the Netflix series Daredevil, but in the comic, the Kingpin is Spidey’s most iconic foe.
The Kingpin has been a significant part of Spidey’s comic world, so it will not be surprising if he appears as an antagonist in the next movie.
