The historical drama is back in the race, and we would soon be able to see the 6th season of “Peaky Blinders.” Here are the details that we know till now, about the upcoming season of this series.
Air Date for the 6th season
Though earlier, we were told that the series was going to end in the 4th season itself. There was a certain turn of events. The whole crew decided to go for the next seasons, and here we are. All ready for the 6th season. According to specific sources, the 6th season of the historical crime drama will air either in late 2020 or early 2021.
Furthermore, the 6th season would most likely be premiered in Netflix after it has made its way through BBC.
Has the shooting begun?
Though we are not sure when, but, yes the production for the 6th season has already started. Anthony Byrne, the director of the drama, stated that “I have read three scripts and they’re great. I did say it feels like part one of two, and that was purely based on the fact that you have this cliffhanger.” However, there could be some delay in the shooting due to the pandemic going on. If there is an extendable delay, then we can expect the 6th season to air in mid of 2021.
Whom do we expect to be in the 6th season?
Though in the 5th season, we saw Tommy Shelby on the verge of killing himself after betrayal, he is going to return in the 6th season! Yes, the last season did leave us in a cliff-hanger, and the upcoming season would give us the answers for that. However, we can expect to see Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, and Sophie Rundle in the upcoming show.
Steve Knight is still working on the story, and we can expect a lot of mysteries ahead of us. As Finn Cole says, “If he (Steve Knight) thinks that the character should either die or go, I’m fully on board with it because I know that that’s what’s best for the character. He will have exhausted all of that character’s opportunities.” Does this mean someone is going to die? We will find out.
