Maddox’s University Plans
She said that Maddox might return to Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea after the COVID-19 pandemic settles down. Maddox is a freshman studying biotechnology in the university. She adds that the university is closed due to the crisis right now, but he will return when it reopens. Maddox is currently using his time in isolation to focus on Korean and Russian studies.

Angelina Jolie’s Take on Impact of COVID-19 on Education
The actress addresses the impact COVID-19 has had on students’ education. “Nearly a billion young people are out of training, because of school and universities have shutdowns. She estimates that half of the total student population is currently sitting home in fear of this new disease.
She continues talking about countries that will never be the same after a crisis. If a student’s education is kept on a halt during an emergency, they might never be the same. The country might need youngsters to work and rebuild the economy.
While other kids might depend on schools to get one meal a day which helps them, a family in extreme poverty might send their children to school, for the sole reason to be fed. Nearly 22 million children in the US rely on food support. The students who face domestic violence and abuse at home, it’s an even tougher time for them. They depended on their schools to be their haven, be the virus has taken that away along with their freedom.
She insists on the urgent need to help young people to continue their education. To ensure that they will be able to get their qualification and support through distance learning. “This is my major focus and something that I‘m working on with UNESCO and a global coalition of countries,” Jolie adds.
In early March, Jolie donated $1 million to the “No Kid Hungry Organization“.
