Tejana singer Selena Quintanilla had created herself a special place in the Music Society.  She was awarded the Granny awards in 1994.

The tragic point in her life is that she was murdered when she was only 23 years old. However, when it was decided that there would be a Netflix series on Selena’s life. Her family members walked the frontline. Moreover, they decided to produce the series and let people know. That, what happened with the singer and her family.

A Glimpse Into Selena’s Life:

There is no trailer for the series, but a glimpse of the show is shown on Netflix. However, the glimpse shows The Walking Dead star Christian Serratos as Selena. Moreover, in the clip, she applies red lipstick, practising her dance moves and reading pages from the script. Although she has also been seen wearing clothes that Selena used to wear in her performances.

The Production House:

The preparation for the series had started last month. And the story would be about Selena Quintanilla. That had been honoured with Grammy award for the best Mexican-American album in 1994. However, at the age of 23, she was murdered. Now, where there is a success, there is a problem. Hence, the story will be about these problems and the choices and decisions that Selena and her family had to make.

Cast And Actors:

Selena’s entire family will be played in the series. Now, while Christian Serratos will play the role of Selena,  Madison Taylor Baez will play the role of younger Selena. Similarly, Gabriel Chavarria will be seen as A.B. Quintanilla, Selena’s oldest brother, and the band’s music producer.

Moreover, Ricardo Chavira from Desperate Housewives will play Abraham Quintanilla, Selena’s musician father and Seidy Lopez will be seen as Marcella Quintanilla, Selena’s mother. Noemi Gonzalez will play the role of Selena’s sister and best friend Suzette Quintanilla, who becomes the first female drummer in Tejano music history.
