His Dark Materials is an HBO premiered in November 2019. It has got many ups and downs. Despite getting a mixed review at the critics, the team did not fall apart. They are right up with the season 2.
Grand Announcement of season 2 :
Season 2 is going to be adapted from the second novel of Philip Pullman’s The Subtle Knife. This series will take off from when Lyra and Pan go another dimension in following Lord Asriel and then Will Parry ventures into their world. Cast has said that the second season is going to extend the world up to a much bigger dimension than it was shown in season one.
Lyra and Will meet up at a new place called Citagazze. This is where the mysterious knife is hidden. This story moves on with progressing trust. Lyra’s journey with Lord Asriel is going to quite different now as he lord Asriel was not seen in Season 1 much. As Lee Scoresby goes in search of Grumman, who was sent down by the witches, the story mainly focuses on Lyra’s world.
So there is a lot of things that the team has planned well forth to express to their audience. It’s just a matter of time for the audience to witness the second installment of the HBO’s original His Dark Materials.

The team has started its production work without any break from season one. The primary concern is the puberty of the child. So Tranter has said in the interview that they are keeping their child actors in constant work due to their rapid transformation due to youth.
So the fourteen-year-old actor Dafne Keen is filming rigorously to finish off his role in the season 2. Season 1 which released in November, and the team even finished off the season 2 shooting by July 2019. The team has confirmed that the filming for the eight episodes has been completed. But the official date has not yet come out.
