According to police reports Malani’s body was found at Haiderpur Badli Metro station. The bodies of the children, aged 6 and 14, had been discovered by their mother. It was the wife who informed the police about the murder of her children.
According to reports, Malani, the 45-year-old man who had committed suicide and had killed his two children was severely depressed. He had jumped in front of the metro train in North West Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 5:47 p.m. The bodies of the two children had been discovered by their mother who reported the incident.
According To Reports, The Children Had Been Strangulated
Vijayanta Arya states from records and documents that the mother had left home to go to the local market at around 3:30. However, on reaching home, Rupali states that she found the door locked from outside. Upon entering the house she found the bodies of her two children, lying dead. Shreyansh (6) and Samiksha (14), the two children probably were killed through strangulation. Post mortem report will further clarify the nature of murder. Their bodies were found in two different rooms in the 2BHK East Shalimar Bagh Apartment.
The man, Malani, used to own a sandpaper factory. He had recently lost the business and had been unemployed for at least six months. According to his wife’s claims, his loss of job had been the primary reason for his depression. The family had even been dependent on Malani’s relatives financially. This had also been another reason for his mental state.
The wife further claims that they had already been looking for the husband when they heard from the policeman about suicide at the metro station.
Harinder Singh, the metro station DCP, further stated that they had immediately taken the body to the hospital. However, at the hospital, the doctors declared Malani dead. However, no suicide note had been found, neither at the metro station nor at the man’s house.
