Johnathan Quiles has come out in public about media attention, solitary confinement, and jailhouse snitches. Quiles ended up in jail for committing multiple crimes. Currently, he is facing the death penalty for illegal impregnation, his niece, and killing her.
Jailhouse Informants Tried to Record Him
While talking to his family members, he disclosed that several jailhouse informants had tried to record him. This information has been recorded in jail calls. Quiles used to call his family members and discuss this all. He used to present a myriad of topics when talking with them. These recordings have now come out in the open.
Killed 16-Year-Old Niece
Iyana Sawyer, the 16-year-old niece of Quiles, was a former Terry Parker High School sophomore. According to authorities, the student was last seen on December 19, 2018. After that, she went missing. According to police, the girl was impregnated by her uncle and was later on killed by him.
Police tried to kind the body of the girl in a nearby landfill for days but were unable to find any trace of her. The police then traced Quiles to be the person responsible for the death of Iyana.
In addition to these charges, Quiles has also been charged with sexual battery on another female relative of his.
But Quiles considers himself not guilty of these charges. His attorney had told the judge that he needed three to four more weeks to go through 22 discs of evidence. The recordings are phone calls that Quiles had made to his relatives.
“He is also extremely high profile. I remember him from seeing him on the news. The attorney can waive my appearance. Although I still have to come to the court, they won’t bring me out. That’s to say off the camera. That’s one way to fight them,” Quiles was heard saying to one of his relatives.
