This crime is regarding severe bullying and assaulting a child in school by his classmate. This was recorded in El Paso, Texas. This article covers all the facts, words the victim’s father, and the statement from the Officials.
Punched out his eye :
The victim is a six-year-old named Jared. His father, Andrew Montelongo, reported about the attack on his kid, saying that when he was sitting in PE and the boy that hit him called out his name, he turned around, and the kid hit him in the eye. He came to the home with that damage in his eye. I was a lot worried. Known about the entire story of his kid’s suffering and I went to file a case. But more importantly, after I took him to the hospital, the doctors said that day by day, his eye is infecting more. They need to wait for all the fluid to drain out for the surgery to carry out. This took me into tears seeing my child in such a state.
Words from Police :
After the victim’s father, Andrew Montelongo, reached out to El Paso Police Department to file a case against the six-year-old suspect who hit his son. The police reacted to this saying that it is not our responsibility as both the suspect and the victim is of very little age. It is ultimately the school association’s responsibility to take any action on this. Even they can’t be changed to alternative institutions due to an early age.
However, Maribel Macias, the assistant superintendent, stated that right now, the investigation is only a few days old… soon that conversation will happen with everyone involved so that communication is shared with the parents, and we can move forward. So until a complete investigation is done, any disciplinary action cannot be taken.
