Police unwilling to release the names of victims who were recently found dead in a car south of Fountain. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office told the media that they were teens who recently died in a murder-suicide.
Discovering The Corpse
Police found the dead bodies at around 7:45 pm on Monday in the interior of a car near Ray Nixon exit south of Fountain. The investigation started right from the moment to fetch the identities of the victim found in the vehicle. Investigators found a girl’s body in the back of the vehicle. The coroner’s office is still looking over to discover how the girl died.
People Who Went Missing The Same Day Can Be The Victims-
According to the reports, a 17-year-old girl was reported missing in the same afternoon. Spurlock spoke to the media and told that the family is not willing to release her name and identity. The girl was a medical student at Mile High Academy in Highlands Ranch. At around 3:30 pm she left for school, and rumors say that she was with another 18-year-old teen named Samuel Hoffman.
Hoffman, along with the girl, drove towards a parking lot adjacent to their school, where he brutally killed her, according to the detectives. They also added that the girl hesitated to get into the car with Hoffman. But according to reports, they were friends for a long time.
Officers from several investigating agencies from Denver and Colorado Springs joined the case. They found out that they shared on social media their concern regarding the behaviour of the victim.
City Mourns For The Victims
Spurlock said that the 17-year-old girl was not involved in any domestic violence case. They shared information regarding the mental health condition of the same. Officials claim that it’s a tragic incident that happened in the city where two teens died in a horrific tragedy. The sheriff added that they always request the youth to join the mental health crisis camp.
