The suspect was identified as a 26-year-old fellow named Eric Madaleno, who kidnapped and burned the victim with a hot knife to teach him a lesson, according to the testimony at the preliminary hearing.
Mariah Madaleno, also known as Mariah Aragon, was the cousin of Eric who recently broke up with her boyfriend to get into a relationship with someone she loved before named Jaime Galvan. Eric and Jaime insanely kidnapped and burned her ex-boyfriend alive to give him their punishment.
According to the testimony given by Eric Madaleno, the victim asked him to arrange a meeting with her ex-girlfriend so that they could talk things out to fix their broken relationship. Eric, along with his cousin Mariah planned the entire assembly to get a chance to kidnap him.
Mariah accused the victim of torturing and assaulting her with her child while they were dating. Hearing all this, Eric and Galvan took him to a side room and began their wicked punishment. However, they took out a pirate style knife and started burning his private parts. They also carried a metal rod with them to make their tasks more efficiently and more painful for him. They started beating him with the metal rod too.
Crime Scene Report
Investigating officials found a metal rod, a torch, and a pirate knife in the crime scene. The victim acquired such severe burns that he was immediately admitted to the Anschutz Burn Center in Aurora.
Madaleno was charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 14 years of prison, along with five years parole for kidnapping.
Madaleno currently has three open cases in Weld County in charge of several criminal records. This recent case is still ongoing in the court and are represented as innocent until proven guilty of their crime.
