Recently, the Iran plane crash took the lives of many innocent victims. Shekiba Feghahati and Rosstin Moghaddam were two of the 176 unfortunate victims. Family members describe Shekiba as an ‘angel,’ whereas Rosstin as a ‘treasure.’
Shahin Moghaddam wants the world to know about his amazing wife, Shekiba. Moreover, ‘an angel’ is what he called her. His 10-year-old son also fell victim to this horrific attack. The lives of the two beautiful people were taken away when the plane crash happened. Besides, the Ukrainian passenger plane crashed near Tehran on Wednesday. It immediately killed all 176 passengers on board. One hundred thirty-eight of the passengers were connecting to Canada.
The three had their last conversation on the phone before boarding the plane
“God took them from me,” Shahin said. He continued revealing that he lost almost his whole life. “No more future, no more family,” the heartbroken man added. He said that he wants to talk about them for their honor. Not only Moghaddam, but many other family members and friends of other passengers have shared memories of the loved ones they lost.
Feghahati, 39, moved to Canada almost seven years ago. The pair were happily married for nearly 14 years. Moreover, she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. After coming to Canada, she enrolled at York University. Furthermore, getting a certificate in public administration. Shahin let out that his wife always laughed, smiled, and remained supportive of him. The two were very precious for him.
Meanwhile, his son, Rosstin, 10, studied in Grade 4 at Beynon Fields Public School in Richmond Hill. Besides, Rosstin, at such a young age, spoke four languages along with playing the piano. Not only that, but he also came through as a “taekwondo champion” and loved to swim.
Moghaddam feels guilty for not going on the trip
“Our amazing, wonderful son, intelligent, super smart,” the father said before breaking down. The family of three lived in Nobleton, Ontario. December 10 – the last time the father-son duo were together. A day after the boy’s 10th birthday, Rosstin and Feghahati left for Iran. Moghaddam could’ve gone along. Feghahati asked him to join them for the holidays. However, he decided to stay home, taking care of the bills and house.
He spoke to his wife and son on the phone just before they boarded the unfortunate plane. But none of them realised it would be their last conversation. Moghaddam now says that life for him is done. He has no wishes and nothing at all to live for. This turned out to be the first and last trip Feghahati took after moving to Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau visited Shahin to pay respects
After a gathering to remember the two, he will head on a flight to Iran. Moreover, he will then fetch their bodies and bring them ‘back home.’
Besides, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited him. On Friday afternoon, they had a private meeting to pay respects. The two cried during the visit, which lasted for about an hour. After a day, Trudeau addressed the public on Saturday. He revealed he is “outraged” as well as “furious.”
Moreover, he expects full co-operation from Iranian Authorities. Meanwhile, Shahin does not wish this tragedy upon anyone else. He’s still trying to learn how to cope without his precious family.
