Center City witnessed a crime on Saturday outside of Luke’s Lobster restaurant in Rittenhouse Square. A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death. This incident happened before 6:15 PM. Officials say police responded to the report of stabbing promptly.
According to the Philadelphia police, the man was stabbed once in the neck. He was then rushed to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he, later on, died due to his injuries. The police say an arrest has been made, but the exact details of the same have not been released.
A Mishap Between Two Homeless Men
After the incident took place, police and detectives got down on one knee to get to the core of this core. It was found out that the stabbing stemmed from a fight on a sidewalk, possibly between two homeless people. The search for the weapon is on. The detectives did manage to get hold of a knife from a nearby dumpster. But it is still unclear if the gun has finally been recovered or not.
Chaos On The Streets
The attack happened on the streets near Rittenhouse Square. This block is a rather busy part of the city wherein Head Smart Shoes, Shop Sixty Five, and Liberti Church. Onlookers feel contempt for the murderer and can’t help but sympathize with the victim. A scene looked brutal and painful. One of the onlookers, Francis Spence, said, “It is a sad thing to have happened on a warm evening like this, your family getting killed.” Other people are concerned are about the family and relatives of the dead man. The injured man was suffering from his injuries and then, later on, succumbed to his injuries in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
