The accused Cody Allan Mangus, a resident of Great Falls, has charges of non-consensual sexual activity against him. As per reports from the Cascade County Detention Center, he is under suspicion for two cases of rape. The victims were aged 13 and 15.
Facts From The First Case
According to the court documents, the police tried to talk to the 13-year-old girl after receiving a complaint against Mangus. The officers asked the minor if she happened to be in the company of anyone harmful recently. The girl then opened up about Mangus. Next, the girl’s mother was contacted. The 13-year-old was taken to the Cascade County Children’s Advocacy Center for forensic tests. There the girl revealed that on January 6, she was picked up from school by Magnus. He took her to a park located nearby and raped her. Later on, she was dropped home.
Admittance By Accused
On being interviewed, Mangus accepted that he had sexual intercourse with the girl. According to the investigators, he was aware of the girl’s age before the act. He also acknowledged that he had committed the same crime in the fall of last year. This time, the girl was a 15-year-old. He admitted that in this case, too, the girl didn’t give consent, and he forced himself upon her. Police could also obtain the name of the second girl from him.
Facts From The Second Case
On being interviewed, the 15-year-old described the incident that took place. The investigators came to know that she had been forced into sexual activity against her will by Mangus. She was raped at her home in Great Falls in September 2019. She informed that the accused asked for forgiveness after committing the act.
Investigation In Progress
Records reveal that Magnus does have any criminal history as an adult. But as a juvenile, he sexually assaulted a child. The studies are still on the go as more reports of victims continue to surface. An amount of $100,000 has been declared as bailing charges for the current cases.
