Roku Adding 5 More Channels For Free?

Roku, which unveiled its channel in 2017, is all set to add five more new channels. All of these channels offer free content to Roku owners.

It added a free, ad-supported channel to Roku devices. The Roku Channel contains a range of movies and TV shows, which is available to watch for free to those who are Roku owners.

New channels on Roku!

The new channels cover sports, local and national news, award-winning journalism, investigative reports, and also include comedy specials.

Roku unveiled the new channels in a post on its blog, named The Roku Blog. The company shared the news that these channels will be new, free, live and linear. These channels will reportedly bring the total count of news, sports, and entertainment options in The Roku Channel to more than 30.

There are a lot of channels for the viewers to keep them informed and up to date with the trending stories.

What are the 5 new channels?

1) Comedy Dynamics, which is a network dedicated to comedy. So we should probably expect stand-up comedy specials, TV shows, films, and documentaries from some big-name comedians.

2)  Fubo Sports Network is a live TV network for passionate sports fans. It covers sporting events, trending sports topics, and sports-related entertainment programming.

3)  ACCDN (or The ACC Digital Network) offers original on-demand content throughout the year from one of the top intercollegiate athletic conferences in the US.

4) USA Today offers local and national news, sports, entertainment, finance, technology, and other related news. All of this is delivered through a combination of journalism, photos, and videos.

5) Now This is a channel that has been described as “the most-watched mobile news brand in the world”. It will cover news, investigative reports, interviews, and original series.

Roku has also added SI TV to the Premium Subscriptions available on The Roku Channel.
SI TV is a streaming service from Sports Illustrated. It offers original series and documentaries which aim to take the views behind the scenes of their favorite sports.

Roku Channel is packed with free content, but it isn’t the only option for Roku owners. There are other channels too which includes Pluto TV, Sony Crackle, CBS News, and PBS Kids, amongst many others.
