Rapper Drake gets inked!
The famous rapper, Drake shared a photo on Instagram recently, which reveals a new tattoo on his left forearm.
This tattoo depicts four figures more like John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr as they star in the Beatle’s Abbey Road album cover. However, there is a twist to this tattoo. This is not exactly the inking of the cover, it has a new figure too! Guess who that is?
Right! It’s Drake himself. He is drawn walking ahead of the iconic English band and waving back at them over his shoulder.
Is crowd disgusted with Drake’s tattoo?
When Canadian rapper got an inking of The Beatles on Abbey Road, not everyone was thrilled about. His nod, to the Fab Four, was even labeled as disrespectful.
It’s not unusual to see someone brandish an inking of the iconic British band, however, the way Drake puts himself in the tattoo with the other four infamous artists in their infamous walk has disturbed fans to their core, it seems.
Some fans suggested that Drake wouldn’t have the same longevity as The Beatles. Someone posted a comment on Twitter, writing that if people remembered the rapper’s song in 50 years, they would “eat their words”.
One fan even joked that it made the rapper look silly.
Another fan suggested that Drake wasn’t fit to carry The Beatles’ instruments.
Some even hinted at the differences between chart success now and 50 years ago, and what it meant to achieve some of the same figures as recording artists half a century ago. Some fans even went as far to call Drake fake, and accuse him of not writing his own songs. However, some people stepped in to defend the artist, with one writing that when the Beatles stepped into the industry, there were surely some old people saying stuff like “no one will remember the Beatles in 10 years from now”.
The Canadian rapper is believed to have inked the tattoos to celebrate his breaking the Yesterday band’s long-held record for having the most songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.
After news of Drake’s famous tattoo spread, the Internet was quick to criticize the rapper for the stunt, with some calling him “pathetic” and “narcissistic” while others referred to him as a clown.
