Taylor Swift just can’t move on from the “humiliating” event that happened to her in 2016. Even after her super successful attempt at reviving her “Reputation”. We all remember what happened back then, don’t we?
What Was The “Humiliating” Event?
Kanye West’s song, “Famous”, that released back then mentioned Swift as a “Bitch”. Taylor Swift, however, failed to remember when she gave her consent to this “derogatory” term. It was then that Kanye West’s wifey, Kim Kardashian, took the fight to the next level. She released the evidence, the call recordings, and receipts, proving otherwise.
Kimmie then started a twitter trend mentioning the Swifties’ heartthrob as SNAKE. Following this KKW’s ever-so-obedient-and-blind followers followed swarming Taylor’s twitter with snake emojis and called her as “CANCELLED” singer.
Post which the Grammy-winning singer went on to make an album as we know it to fix her “Reputation”.

Lately, in an interview with Vogue for the September issue, Tay revealed her feelings about the 2016 event saying, “A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience,”.
She added, “I don’t think there are that many people who can actually understand what it’s like to have millions of people hate you very loudly.” She further stated how when people say someone is canceled, they are actually asking that person to either shut up, disappear, or it could also be taken as “Kill Yourself”.
She also articulated how she needed to restructure her life because it went out of control for her. T-Swizzle mentioned how writing songs and making music about this entire defaming incident was her escape from it.
Out came ME! From The Ashes Of Failure To Move On
In the most recent album song, ME! the official video portrays how a hissing pink snake explodes into a multicolored swarm of butterflies. This probably hints at the revival of Swift from the great depression she went through in 2016. This also signifies how she has not been able to move on yet from the dispiriting event.
Kardashian, nevertheless, mentioned having gotten “over it” in an interview with Andy Cohen, and how everyone else has “moved on”. We are guessing it is not that easy for Tay. We wish you get over it soon, Tay.
