Ariana’s new track, “Boyfriend” is driving fans crazy with its wild video and mind blowing music. This track is followed by Grande’s track, “Thank You, Next” which was released in February. The video features Ariana with her tour mates, Social House, Mike Foster and Charles Anderson.
“Boyfriend” track based on the relationships of today?
The track, “Boyfriend” reveals the relationships of today where the couples dates casually. But are scared to commit for a proper relationship. This song aptly represents those couple who are confused about the stage of their relationship and keep wondering if they are enough for their partner or not. The song captures the thrilling yet the anxiety filled stage between casually dating someone and making the relationship official.
Grande says that this song focuses on a very common theme which is faced by most of the people she knows.
The wild video
In the video, Ariana and Foster are dating (well, sort of) and both of them get jealous and paranoid when they spot them with their respective love interests. Though not in reality, but Foster and Grande try to attack each other’s love interests in their mind.
The video has some cartoonish imaging with Grande throwing an arrow at a woman’s hand who Foster is talking to and lazer beams emitting from Grande’s bra. This video shows Foster and Grande finally get together after major fight and bloodshed broke out in the party they were at due to their acts of jealousy.
Ariana dating Foster in real life?
Reportedly, Grande is dating Mike Foster in real life after ten months of splitting with fiance, Pete Davidson.
Foster has previously worked with Grande, helping her with her chart-topping singles “Thank U, Next” and “7 Rings.”
In a recent interview, Ariana Grande contrasted the song to her other recent boyfriend-related, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,”, by saying that both the songs are very different and she doesn’t think any song is better than the other.
