Randy Quaid Trying To Dodge House Fraud Case Worth $5 Million

Randy Quaid

Randy Quaid is sued by a couple who allege the Quaids are trying to claim they own the home. The same that  couple currently lives in, despite the fact the Quaids sold it 25 years ago.

According to court documents obtained by the couple i.e. Turicchis, say they bought a house in Santa Barbara in 2007 for $5.3 million. Since the purchase, they’ve put another $2 million in improvements into the home. The Turicchis did not purchase the home from the Quaids. But rather from the Bermans, who purchased it from the Quaids in 1993.

But in 2016, the Turicchis claim that the Quaids contacted their lender and claimed they were actually the rightful owners of the property and the Bermans had no right to sell.

The Quaids claimed that the deed that transferred the home to the Bermans was fraudulent. All their signatures were forged, and that they had no idea the property had been sold. The Turicchis however pointed to a bankruptcy filing by the Quaids from the year 2000. In them, they allegedly claimed to have $0 in real property assets. This indicates they knew they did not own the home. They are also seeking damages plus attorneys fees.

Randy Quaid and family are trying their way to dodge this case and get rid of it.
