HBO presents ‘Watchmen’ after wrapping up Game of Thrones for good

HBO’s Watchmen series is kinda-sorta based on Damon Lindelof’s authorized remix of Alan Moore’s 1986 classic comic. This new one only has footage for shows that will debut Thrones ends forever and leaves us alone in our feelings.

The new reel has clips the Deadwood movie, Watchmen, His Dark Materials, Big Little Lies season 2, Succession season 2, and more. The only shot is a clear when Don Johnson’s face appears. He plays a cowboy hat-wearing cop. He is walking down a hallway with his yellow-masked police officers standing at attention.

Watchmen includes Irons an older Adrian Veidt, aka Ozymandias; Tim Blake Nelson as the interestingly-named Looking Glass, and Jean Smart as FBI Agent Blake. The cast has Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher and many more.  Nine Inch Nails duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are on board to compose music for the project.

It is set on an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws. It will embrace the nostalgia of original ground-breaking graphic novel. One thing you can say about HBO they know how to make the most of an opportunity. It has planned everything out. While the audience will be sobbing about Game of Thrones, they will be ready with next project.
