PAN Card to link with AADHAR Card, today is the last day to do that. Here is how you can do the expected process.
If you haven’t linked your Aadhaar with PAN Card , then today is the last date to do so. As per the due date decided by the Income Tax Department. The Income Tax Department since weeks have been urging to link the two identification numbers by the due date of March 31.
“Link your Aadhaar with PAN today to enjoy seamless income tax services online,” the Income Tax Department stated in a Twitter post. Linking Aadhar card with PAN Card is mandatory. It has to be done by March 31, 2019 by PAN holders. However, they are compelling to file income tax return, the Income Tax Department stated on its website – incometaxindia.gov.in.
Here’s how to link your PAN card with Aadhaar card:
A PAN can be linked with an Aadhar Number (UID) through an SMS tool. To link the two through this SMS tool, the user is required to send an SMS to 567678 or 56161 in the following format, according to the Income Tax Department website:
UIDPAN<space><12-digit Aadhaar><space><10-digit PAN>
For example, UIDPAN 123456789123 SSSSD1111X
Online (through the income tax e-filing website)
An Aadhaar card number can be linked with a PAN Card number online through the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal. For doing this, the user is required to click on the “link Aadhaar” option on the portal’s homepage to advance.
