Vouria Ghfouri suffered a hamstring graze in the game against Al Ain of the UAE in AFC Champions League in mid-March.
Ghfouri, who banged his team’s winner in the derby last year, is not fully recovered for this game.
Esteghlal will climb to the top of the table if they win over Persepolis in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Saturday.

The derby is scheduled to be played on Saturday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on 30th March 2019.
There have been 82 competitive game meetings between the two teams since the first league meeting in 1969. In all 89 competitive and non-competitive meetings since 1968, Esteghlal has won 26 and Persepolis 23.
