Now Disney owns 21 century fox after a year long battle


Disney announced that now it acquires 21st-century fox. On Wednesday, the Walt Disney Company will complete its acquisition of 21st Century Fox. As a result, this gives the company control over various entities. This includes all 21st Century Fox movie studio resources and a 30% stake in Hulu.

Furthermore, Robert A. Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company said “This is an extraordinary and historic moment for us. One that will create significant long-term value for our company and our shareholders. Further, he added, “Combining Disney and 21st Century Fox’s wealth of creative content and proven talent creates the preeminent global entertainment company, well positioned to lead in an incredibly dynamic and transformative era.”

Moreover, The deal is worth $71 billion. This will help it to boost its various services. This includes the upcoming Disney + streaming service. Furthermore, the acquisition includes 21st Century Fox’s film production businesses, including Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox 2000 Pictures.

Also, Disney includes Fox Family and Fox Animation; Fox’s television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions, and Fox21; FX Networks; National Geographic Partners; Fox Networks Group International; Star India; and Fox’s interests in Hulu, Tata Sky, and Endemol Shine Group. Thus, Disney finally managed to win the year-long battle.
